چکیده مقاله:

This research investigates the role of integrating passive and active systems in enhancing energy efficiency within high-rise architecture. Given the significant energy demand of tall buildings, the simultaneous design of climatic and technological systems is crucial for sustainability. The escalating energy consumption challenges, particularly highlighted by rapid high-rise development in climates such as Iran’s, underscore the necessity of deploying optimized energy design approaches. The research first analyzes passive strategies, including building orientation, form, and envelope design, and subsequently examines active systems such as HVAC and intelligent controls. Employing a descriptive methodology supported by case studies, the paper evaluates the efficacy of combining these two system categories. Findings indicate that the synergy between passive and active systems significantly reduces energy load, improves thermal comfort, and enhances environmental sustainability in high-rise design. This integrated approach must therefore be established as a core principle in contemporary high-rise building design.
