چکیده مقاله:

In order to increase the strength and resistance of concrete against pressures and stresses, they use the combination of concrete with different chemical substances. One of the solutions used to achieve this purpose is the use of polymers. In addition to having high strength, the polymer has low weight and shows good resistance against weather conditions and various pressures and loads. Polymer concretes can be considered as a combination of natural fibers, polymer and fine and coarse aggregates. In the process of mixing polymer concrete, we do not use water and instead of water we use liquid resin or monomer. Despite the increasing use of ordinary concrete due to its positive properties, it has limitations due to the Portland cement used in it. Among these weaknesses and limitations, we can mention low resistance to chemicals, low bending strength and low breaking strain. To solve these problems, nowadays polymers are used as the same substitute or mixed with cement, which increases the resistance to gradual deterioration and successive freezing and thawing, the durability of concrete and the reduction of water penetration. The use of polymers in concrete has a history of many years, during which many researches have been conducted in this field. Also, after the successful use of polymers in the construction of concrete structures and surfaces, further investigations and tests are underway.
