چکیده مقاله:

This study aims to elucidate the profound connection between two historical-revelatory realities of the Holy Quran: "gradual and context-driven revelation" and the "coherent and purpose-oriented structure of the surahs." The central question is how verses revealed over an extended period, in response to varying events and inquiries, come together within units called surahs to form an interconnected and purposive network. Rejecting the assumed contradiction between the gradual nature of revelation and structural coherence, this article proposes a novel model titled "Purpose-Oriented Network Coherence." In this model, each surah is viewed as a "macro educational-propagative plan," with its "main purpose" serving as the network's core. Verses, revealed gradually according to contextual needs, act as nodes within this network, each fulfilling part of the overall design. The validity of this model is demonstrated through intra-textual evidence (such as contextual continuity and artistic links) and extra-textual evidence (including the divinely ordained arrangement of the Mus'haf and its confirmation by the Infallibles). The findings indicate that gradual revelation not only does not disrupt the final coherence but represents a wise method for the concrete and phased realization of that "singular purpose" within the context of life.
