چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: This study aimed to examine the effects of ۸ weeks of High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) on serum protein levels and body fat mass among police staff in Yazd. This quasi-experimental research utilized a pre-test-post-test design. Method: The statistical population included all police staff in Yazd, with ۴۰ participants randomly selected and divided into an exercise group (n=۲۰) and a control group (n=۲۰). The exercise group performed HIIT on a stationary bicycle three times per week for ۳۰ minutes per session, consisting of ۴-۶ high-intensity intervals (۹۰% of maximum heart rate) interspersed with active recovery (۵۰% of maximum heart rate). Variables, including serum protein levels and body fat mass, were measured using a Bioelectrical Impedance Analyzer (BIA) during pre-test and post-test phases. Data were analyzed using Two-way Repeated Measures ANOVA at a significance level of a ≤ ۰.۰۵. Results: Results indicated that HIIT significantly increased serum protein levels and reduced body fat mass in the exercise group (p<۰.۰۵), while the control group showed no significant changes. Conclusion: These findings suggest that HIIT can serve as an effective intervention to improve body composition and metabolic health in police staff.
