چکیده مقاله:

Monitoring steel rebar corrosion plays a crucial role in evaluating the durability, service life, and performance of reinforced concrete structures. This research investigates the Half-Cell Potential and Ultrasonic testing for detecting the extent of rebar corrosion. The samples studied included ۹ beams and ۹ columns of a reinforced concrete pier in Abadan, which have been exposed to the marine conditions of the Persian Gulf for ۴۸ years. The obtained data were evaluated using correlation analysis and regression modeling. The results showed that ۵۸.۷% of the measured points had a Half-Cell Potential of less than ۳۵۰ mV, indicating a high probability of corrosion. In the Ultrasonic test, a ۴۸.۵% reduction in the velocity of compression waves and a ۲۷.۸% reduction in shear waves were observed in the damaged areas, indicating a decrease in density and an increase in concrete porosity. Based on the analytical results, the correlation between the electrochemical and dynamic indices of concrete showed R۲ = ۰.۹۶۸. The combination of these two methods increased the accuracy of corrosion detection by ۳۹.۸% compared to individual evaluation. The findings of this research emphasize the importance of combined non-destructive methods in monitoring the health of reinforced concrete structures.
