Chemotherapy is a common cancer treatment that can cause numerous side effects for patients, especially the elderly. These side effects may lead to a decline in physical function and quality of life. Therefore, this study examines the effect of corrective exercises as a non-pharmacological approach in the prevention debate. This review article examined articles published in the last ten years (۲۰۱۳-۲۰۲۳) by searching reputable databases, including PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar, and using keywords related to the topic. Articles that addressed the effect of corrective exercises on chemotherapy side effects and functional decline in elderly people with cancer were selected and analyzed. The results show that corrective exercises can help improve physical strength, increase flexibility, reduce fatigue, and improve mental health in elderly people with cancer. Also, these exercises lead to a decrease in chemotherapy side effects and an improvement in the quality of life of patients. Corrective exercises play an important role in preventing functional decline and side effects of chemotherapy in elderly people with cancer. Therefore, it is recommended that these programs be considered as part of treatment protocols alongside standard treatments to improve the quality of life of these patients.
