چکیده مقاله:

Background: Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is an aggressive hematologic malignancy that significantly affects patients’ quality of life (QoL) due to prolonged treatment, psychological distress, and physical complications. In recent years, spiritual care has attracted growing interest as a holistic approach in nursing, aiming to address the spiritual needs of patients and support overall well-being.This review evaluates the impact of spiritual care interventions on the quality of life in patients diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, summarizing the latest scientific evidence and clinical approaches in the context of holistic nursing care. Methods: A comprehensive search of PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science was conducted for articles published from ۲۰۱۸ to ۲۰۲۴, using keywords such as “spiritual care,” “quality of life,” “acute lymphoblastic leukemia,” and “nursing.” Studies focusing on spiritual interventions—including chaplaincy support, mindfulness practices, spiritual counseling, and faith-based support programs—were included. Relevant clinical trials, observational studies, and systematic reviews were appraised. Results: Recent studies demonstrate that spiritual care interventions contribute positively to multiple dimensions of QoL in ALL patients, including emotional well-being, coping abilities, hope, and meaning in life. Integrating spiritual assessment and care into nursing practice results in reduced anxiety, depression, and feelings of isolation. Programs such as guided prayer, meditation, and supportive spiritual conversations improve patient resilience and satisfaction with care. However, barriers such as lack of staff training, time constraints, and variability in spiritual beliefs can limit implementation. Multidisciplinary collaboration and culturally sensitive approaches enhance effectiveness. Conclusion: Spiritual care is a vital component of quality nursing for ALL patients, supporting psychological adaptation and overall quality of life. Nurse education, institutional support, and culturally tailored interventions strengthen outcomes. Further high-quality research is recommended to refine protocols and evaluate long-term benefits.
