چکیده مقاله:

This study explores the thematic, stylistic, and ideological parallels and divergences between postwar literature emerging from the Iranian Holy Defense (Iran-Iraq War) and the Vietnam War, focusing on selected poems by Yusef Komunyakaa and Seyyed Hassan Hosseini Aminpour. Both poets, shaped by the traumatic landscapes of war, offer compelling meditations on memory, loss, and the moral complexities of conflict. Through a comparative lens, this paper examines how Komunyakaa's firsthand experience as a war correspondent and Aminpour's spiritual and nationalistic reflections contribute to distinct yet resonant poetic voices. By analyzing imagery, tone, cultural references, and philosophical undercurrents, the study reveals how war poetry transcends national boundaries to engage with universal themes of suffering, resilience, and the human cost of violence. Ultimately, this comparative analysis underscores the power of poetic expression in shaping collective memory and national identity in the aftermath of war.
