This research explored the influence of foliar application of ascorbic acid (AsA) on the growth characteristics of potted marigolds subjected to saline stress. Conducted in the greenhouse at Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman, the study employed AsA concentrations of ۰, ۱۰۰, and ۲۰۰ mg L-۱. Findings revealed that AsA significantly enhanced the mean number of flowers, mean value of flower diameter, flower longevity, and leaf dry matter percentage. The highest mean number and diameter of flower were recorded with ۲۰۰ mg L-۱ treatment. Both ۱۰۰ and ۲۰۰ mg L-۱ concentrations notably improved Flower longevity and leaf dry matter percentage compared to untreated plants. These results suggest that AsA serves as a promising approach to enhancing marigold growth and flowering under saline conditions.
