This study investigated the impact of Teacher Training Courses (TTCs) on the professional development and teaching effectiveness of Iranian EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teachers. Employing a mixed-methods approach, data were collected from ۶۰ Iranian EFL teachers through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. Quantitative findings revealed significant improvements in teachers' classroom management, pedagogical skills, and student engagement as a result of TTC participation. Regression analyses indicated that TTC components such as classroom strategies and pedagogical knowledge were strong predictors of professional growth and teaching performance. Qualitative results further supported these findings, showing that teachers felt more confident, better equipped, and more student-centered after attending TTCs. However, challenges such as adapting techniques to diverse classroom contexts and the need for ongoing support were also highlighted. This study concludes that while TTCs play a crucial role in enhancing teacher competence, sustained professional development and institutional backing are essential for long-term impact. Recommendations for future research and educational practice are provided.
