A Framework for Integrating Artificial Intelligence into Iranian Business Process

As Artificial Intelligence technologies rapidly advance, Iranian organizations are exploring ways to leverage these innovations to enhance operational efficiency and productivity. According to the Iranian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (۲۰۲۳), the AI adoption could contribute up to ۱.۵% to the country's GDP by ۲۰۲۵. However, the AI integration into local operations presents significant challenges, including regulatory complexities, cultural considerations, and limited access to advanced technologies due to international sanctions. This paper proposes a comprehensive framework for AI integration tailored to the Iranian business context, addressing these unique challenges. The framework consists of five crucial components: (۱) Process Prioritization, aligning AI initiatives with national development goals, particularly in sectors like agriculture and healthcare; (۲) Technique Selection, supported by local data indicating a ۶۷% hesitancy among businesses to adopt AI due to regulatory uncertainty; (۳) Responsible Data Integration, which emphasizes compliance with the Iranian Data Protection Act (۲۰۲۲) to ensure ethical data usage; (۴) Explainable Model Deployment, aimed at fostering public trust, backed by a survey revealing that ۷۵% of Iranian users prefer transparent AI systems; and (۵) Impact Assessment, quantifying the effects of AI implementation on economic inclusion, employment rates, and social progress metrics. A case study of an Iranian technology startup illustrates the framework practical application, revealing AI-driven recruitment platforms improved job placement rates by ۲۰% for graduates and enhanced productivity by ۳۰%. These findings underscore the AI potential to drive significant socio-economic progress in Iran. By offering a structured approach to AI adoption, this paper aims to fill literature existing gaps and provide actionable insights for organizations navigating the complexities of AI integration. Ultimately, the framework serves as a crucial guide for Iranian businesses looking to leverage AI while respecting cultural values and regulatory constraints, paving the way for sustainable economic growth and social development.
