چکیده مقاله:

Mindfulness -Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a structured program that incorporates mindfulness meditation and yoga to help individuals manage stress, anxiety, and depression. Over the past few decades, MBSR has gained significant attention in both clinical and non-clinical settings due to its potential to improve mental health outcomes. This paper reviews the existing literature on the effects of MBSR on anxiety and depression, highlighting key findings from randomized controlled trials (RCTs), meta-analyses, and observational studies. The evidence suggests that MBSR can significantly reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression across diverse populations, including individuals with clinical diagnoses and those experiencing subclinical levels of distress. The mechanisms through which MBSR exerts its effects are also explored, with particular attention to changes in emotional regulation, cognitive flexibility, and physiological responses to stress. Finally, this paper discusses the implications of these findings for mental health practice and future research directions.
