Promoting Children's Social Responsibility in Observing Traffic Rules with an Action Research Approach (Case Study: Gorgan City)

The present study was conducted in Gorgan City with the aim of improving students' traffic behaviors using an action research method. Students' traffic behaviors were observed and examined in different situations by instructors and experts of the Gorgan Municipality Traffic Unit. Research data was collected using observation and interviews. Then, to solve this problem, the researchers determined and implemented solutions to improve these behaviors using the existing theoretical and practical background. These solutions included training and strengthening social, communication and self-control skills, training problem-solving skills, informing parents and other colleagues about students' traffic behaviors and how to deal with this issue. The results and observations showed that the implementation of these solutions was effective and led to the improvement of traffic behaviors in these students.
