The Prophet's logic of defense and peace and the understanding of resistance in Iran today

In the field of Jihad, it may be understood from some prophetic narrations that the place of war in Islam has a key and primary role, while the above-mentioned narrations and reasons should be defined in the general context of religious teachings, and by considering all the reasons and documents, we should try to determine its purpose; and on the other hand, bellicosity is in conflict with two important characteristics of the prophetic mission, which are the extensive mercy of the mission and the reliance of the Sharia teachings on evidence and logic. As a result of the first principle, assuming the use of force is acceptable when there are no other means for persuading the public, while the basis of the Prophet's (PBUH) behavior and way of life is so elevated and exalted that there is no need for swords and force; because science and wisdom form the basis of the behavior of the Prophet (PBUH), while emphasizing the principle of pacifism, with a comprehensive look at the whole life of the Prophet (PBUH) and the blessed verses of the Qur'an, his logic is active peace and not passive peace, in the sense that the Prophet's life did not accept peace at any cost and never violates the goals of his school to obtain peace and comfort, while not taking the lead in war. Proof of that is the resistance of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) during the period of prophethood against the pressure exerted by the polytheists. This approach can also be called heroic flexibility, which today is the key to finding the path of resistance in this day and age, in which, while avoiding belligerence, we should never sacrifice our sacred goals just to have peace, that is, by emphasizing Islamic teachings and using the tools of high religious logic, we should follow the path of resistance with the aim of preserving the foundations and pillars of religion, and at the same time, with a superficial understanding of some quotes in religious sources, we should not put the principle on belligerence.
