چکیده مقاله:

The article first presents some definitions and debates about assessment literacy in educational context, then it moves smoothly to some benefits of assessment literacy and different researches implemented in case of instructors’ assessment literacy knowledge all around the world. Exploring the adequacy of this knowledge among EFL instructors revealed that the majority of instructors lack sufficient knowledge of assessment literacy and some pre-service training is needed to enhance the assessment literacy of EFL instructors in the world. In addition, using new trends of assessment literacy, diminishing the use of traditional methods of testing, and enhancing assessment awareness among EFL instructors can lead to a more appropriate, motivated situation and more successful l۲ development among language learners.
