چکیده مقاله:

Childhood trauma refers to all forms of child abuse, neglect, physical, sexual, emotional abuse, and domestic violence. Emotion regulation is the process through which individuals manage and examine their emotions to adapt to various situations. Social anxiety disorder refers to a persistent fear of social or performance situations where one fears embarrassment or humiliation. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between childhood trauma, emotion regulation, and social anxiety disorder in adolescents. A sample of ۵۹ adolescents aged ۱۲ to ۱۸ years was selected through convenience sampling. The research tools included standard questionnaires on trauma, emotion regulation, and social anxiety. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS software and regression analysis. The results showed that childhood trauma significantly impacts the severity of social anxiety disorder, with different types of trauma (emotional, physical, sexual) playing distinct roles. Emotion regulation did not have a significant mediating effect. The findings emphasize the importance of psychological interventions for affected adolescents.
