چکیده مقاله:

Soil structures, such as geosynthetic soil retaining walls, necessitate reinforcement due to the soil's low tensile resistance. This study evaluates the performance of soil retaining walls reinforced with woven geotextiles that feature high-friction surfaces, using a combination of laboratory and numerical tests. This woven geotextile is chosen for its excellent tensile strength, modified surface, and effective soil contact. The parameters studied include the interface properties and geotextile type. The findings reveal that woven geotextile demonstrates superior performance compared to non-woven counterpart due to their enhanced structural integrity and tensile strength. Improving interface parameters, such as increasing surface unit stiffness and interface friction angle, enhances the interaction between the geotextile and soil. This enhancement can lead to improved stability, increased load-bearing capacity. Thus, optimizing interface parameters is crucial for maximizing the effectiveness and longevity of geotextile-reinforced applications.
