چکیده مقاله:

In this study, mulberry leaf extract was used for the first time to green synthesize of tin oxide (SnO۲) nanoparticles. In this method, the flavonoids in mulberry leaf extract were responsible for reducing metal ions and converting them into nanoparticles. In the preparation of nanoparticles no toxic chemicals or organic solvents were used and the nanoparticles were prepared in green conditions. The nanoparticles identified by X-Ray diffraction (XRD) and their morphology were determined using transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Then, the photocatalytic activity of SnO۲ nanoparticles for organic degradation of Bromothymol blue, Bromocresol green and Methylene blue was investigated without the use of any toxic reducing agent under direct sunlight by ultraviolet (UV) spectroscopy. The results show that SnO۲ nanoparticles are able to degrade organic dyes in a short time and with high efficiency. Also, the recyclability of SnO۲ nanoparticles in the degradation of methylene blue was investigated and the results showed high recyclability for SnO۲ nanoparticles.
