چکیده مقاله:

Regarding effect of both chronic ankle instability and foot pronation (FP) on lower-limb kinematics and kinetics, assessing the coordination patterns of lower extremity joints could improve our understanding of joint stability and motor control in individuals with chronic ankle instability (CAI). Therefore, the objective of this research is to examine the effect of FP on coordination and coordination variability using statistical parametric mapping (SPM) during landing tasks in individuals with CAI. ۴۶ individuals were divided into healthy (H=۱۵), CAI individuals with normal foot (CAI=۱۵), and pronated foot position (CAIP=۱۶). Marker coordination and ground reaction forces were collected using a five-camera motion analysis system and a Kistler force plate during a single-leg landing. Joint relative angles, and coordination variabilities were calculated using Carden sequence and vector coding methods, respectively. Coordination and variabilities were compared among three groups using SPM, and no significant differences were observed among the three groups, which may be due to compensatory patterns and the adaptability of the central nervous system over time.
