چکیده مقاله:

Statistics indicate that veterans have a suicide risk ۱.۵ times higher than the general population, accounting for ۲۲% of all suicide deaths in the U.S. Various studies reveal significant prevalence rates of suicidal ideation and attempts among veterans and soldiers, with contributing factors including mental disorders, life stressors, and substance addiction. The research emphasizes the importance of identifying individuals with suicidal thoughts for effective prevention and the role of mental health support, resilience, and cognitive-behavioral therapy in reducing suicide risks. Overall, the findings underscore the critical need for mental health interventions to address the psychological challenges faced by military personnel.
