In this study, a hierarchical multi-agent system (HMAS) for optimal power managementof microgrids consisting of microturbine (MT), energy storage system (ESS) and different kinds ofloads has been discussed. This approach consists of scheduling for power management of microgridswith respect to changing consumption pattern. The main focus of this paper is to minimize the day-ahead cost of the customers of microgrids using available DERs and ESS. Also, the reduction ratesof electricity consumption of residential and industrial customers with approach is optimallydetermined.Power management strategy for four level industrial micro-grid has been implemented in JADEsoftware environment. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed framework is verified using a seriesof simulation. The flexibility of the proposed method enables customers and the microgrids toachieve their desired profit by adjusting their power consumption and the energy management forelectricity.
