With the increasing need for innovative approaches to manage and reduce earthquake-related risksand damages, AI emerges as a powerful tool for prevention, response, and the enhancement ofstructural resilience. This article investigates the pivotal role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) inenhancing the performance of structures against earthquakes. As seismic events continue to posesignificant threats to infrastructure and human safety, AI offers innovative solutions for improving theseismic resilience of buildings and infrastructure. This article provides a concise overview of thetransformative impact of advanced technologies on civil engineering practices, focusing on intelligentmaterials, construction techniques, and real-time structural health monitoring. The integration of theseinnovations is reshaping the industry, fostering resilience, sustainability, and efficiency in constructionprojects. Intelligent materials, such as self-healing concrete and shape memory alloys, contribute tostructural robustness, particularly in seismic regions. Real-time structural health monitoring,empowered by sensors and data analytics, ensures safety through proactive maintenance and earlyissue detection.
