The Effect of MgO Nanoparticles on Optical Properties of ۶CHBT Nematic Liquid Crystals

A minor concentration of nanoparticles in liquid crystals can have an important effect on the Optical properties of liquid crystals. In this study, the optical properties of ۶CHBT nematic liquid crystals doped with MgO nanoparticles is investigated. Dispersing the MgO nanoparticles in pure ۶CHBT in various concentrations, affected the optical parameters, namely, absorption, emission, and anisotropic refractive index.
