چکیده مقاله:

Strontium (۹۰Sr) and Cesium (۱۳۷Cs) rank as some of the most hazardous isotopes found in nuclear waste. Removing these elements from waste is a crucial step before storing or releasing the waste into the environment [۱]. In the previous study, the optimal modification method for natural clinoptilolite zeolite was identified, leading to a ۲۶% increase in strontium adsorption[۲]. The present study includes modeling adsorption isotherms to deliver the most reliable predictions.Modeling empirical data plays a crucial role in the design and optimization of industrial processes. The Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models are among the most well-known and widely used two-parameter models[۳]. By comparing the R² values in Tables ۱ and ۲, it is observed that the Langmuir isotherm provides a better prediction of strontium (II) and cesium (I) ion adsorption on natural and modified zeolite compared to the Freundlich model. According to the assumptions of the Langmuir model, in this case, adsorption occurs as a monolayer on homogeneous adsorption sites
