چکیده مقاله:
The gas sweetening processes have been environmentally vital . Selecting the proper solvent is a crucial subject in designing natural gas sweetening processes. The solvent plays a crucial role in removing the H۲S and CO۲ from the sour gas, and it greatly affects the energy consumption rate of the process. Also, The issue of CO۲ emissions in these processes have been significantly considerable in recent years. Therefore, this study analyzes three different amines of Diethanolamine (DEA), Mono Ethanolamine (MEA) and Methyl diethanolamine (MDEA) in the gas sweetening process. All the processes have been simulated with and without thermal integration and they were investigated in case of CO۲ emissions. Results show the usage of DEA solvent reduces the overall solvent consumption by ۸۳%. Also, the usage of DEA instead of MEA and MDEA reduces the process energy consumption by ۵۷% and ۸۹% respectively and the amount of CO۲ emissions of process with DEA solvent is the lowest. Therefore, this study selects the DEA solvent as the superior possible option because of its lower energy, CO۲ emissions and discharge consumption rates.
