چکیده مقاله:

Background and Objectives: Liver disease, which can occur for a variety of reasons, does not always cause significant signs and symptoms. Therefore, gradually, conditions that damage the liver can lead to cirrhosis and eventually liver failure. The symptoms of liver disease also vary depending on the underlying cause. In ۲۰۲۱, more than ۹, ۰۰۰ people in the United States received a liver transplant, and approximately ۳۰ million people have some form of liver disease. Current screening strategies cannot identify people who are at high risk for severe liver disease in the future. But, advances in new technologies can provide researchers with tools to access more data than before for quick detection and diagnosis of the disease. Early detection of liver disease can help increase the chances of successful treatment and potential cure. Hence, the development of various sciences, including bioinformatics, artificial intelligence, and nanotechnologies is vital to identifying, diagnosing, and treating liver diseases at various stages. This study focuses on the current state of various sciences, including bioinformatics, artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, and cell therapy sciences, the benefits that these sciences can offer to improve the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of liver disease, and the intersection between these scientific domains.Materials and Methods: For this study, English language articles published until June ۳۰, ۲۰۲۲, which were in the field of application of different sciences in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of liver failure, were reviewed.Findings: Artificial intelligence has become an advanced tool in clinical medicine because it has been shown to have the ability to diagnose and predict several diseases. The bioinformatics approaches can provide an opportunity for targeted therapy by identifying susceptibility genes and the pathogenic pathways involved in liver disease. Therefore, bioinformatics approaches are valuable tools for identifying prognostic markers and potential therapeutic targets as well as for detecting biomarkers to classify patients with complex diseases such as liver diseases. Also, the convergence of nanotechnology and stem cell sciences can significantly contribute to a better understanding of diseases, their prevention, and treatment. Conclusions: In general, early detection of liver disease can help increase the chances of successful treatment and potential cure, thus reducing the burden of liver transplantation. Therefore, thedevelopment of strategies that combine diagnosis and treatment in a single platform requires interdisciplinary collaboration between different specialists.
