چکیده مقاله:
Background and aims: The age of onset for mood and anxiety disorders is typically reportedas ۱۵-۲۴ years. Online interventions are recognized as one of the effective ways to reducethe impact of these diseases. However, there are contradictory findings regarding their effectiveness, and there is a lack of systematic studies evaluating the effectiveness of artificialintelligence (AI)-based interventions on the mental health of adolescents. Methods: Three electric databases (PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science) were searched forrecords in English from inception to February ۱۰, ۲۰۲۳. Searches were performed using combinationsof the following keywords: “mental health” AND “artificial intelligence” AND “young”;Also, the search didn’t limit the above words and any synonyms included in the strategy; Clinicaltrial studies that assess the effectiveness of AI-based online interventions for mental health included. The risk of bias tool of the Cochrane was used to assess the quality of the included studies. Results: In the initial search, ۷۵۶ studies were reviewed, out of which three studies were includedin the final analysis. All studies focused on healthy participants. Two studies (Tess and Woebot)investigated depression and anxiety, and found that depression was reduced in both studies, whileanxiety was reduced in only one study. One study assessed the effectiveness of Problem-solvingstrategies using MYLO, an ELIZA chatbot. The retention rate of AI-based chatbot interventionsvaried from ۸۳% to ۱۰۰%, with one study reporting ۸۳% and two studies reporting ۱۰۰%. It isworth noting that these results highlight the potential of AI-based chatbot interventions in mentalhealth research, but further studies are needed to establish their effectiveness in diverse populationsand settings. Conclusion: AI-based interventions for mental health have shown effectiveness, but due tothe limited number of studies, further research with larger sample sizes is needed to establisha definitive opinion.
