Evaluation of PPD-positive individuals becoming active TB after the Covid-۱۹ pandemic

On March ۱۱, Covid-۱۹, a viral disease caused by SARS-CoV-۲ infections, was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization. In this study, PPD-positive people after the Covid-۱۹ pandemic are examined in terms of the possibility of becoming TB. sampling of people is done in order to investigate their PPD. The PPD test is administered intravenously (۵ units) and evaluated after ۴۸ to ۷۲ hours. A positive PPD test (≥۱۰ mm),means that the person is infected with mycobacterium. Then, it is evaluated in terms of being infected with Covid-۱۹ In this study, people were evaluated in terms of PPD test after and before covid-۱۹ pandemic. If they are positive and are infected with the covid-۱۹ virus, the necessary investigation will be conducted to determine the possibility of becoming active tuberculosis The investigation of PPD positive people and the possibility of its transformation into active tuberculosis, the results show that its investigation requires additional and more comprehensive studies.
