Investigating the Effect of Environmental Comfort on Language Learning Motivation

The prominent role of motivation has always been given absolute priority in any aspect of personal, educational and working life of human beings. Through the last three years of COVID-۱۹ pandemic, not only education, but also individuals’ level of motivation has experienced drastic changes. Physical factors of educational spaces are one of important subjects in improving the quality of students' education and learning. Inappropriate environmental conditions in educational spaces and lack of coordination with the surrounding environment, causes more attention to environmental comfort. Accordingly, the current study aimed at investigating the notion of motivation from an EFL (English as a Foreign Language) perspective as well as environmental comfort as one of the primary variables which the authors believe can influence learners’ motivation in the learning process.
