چکیده مقاله:

In his work Givenness and Revelation (۲۰۱۶), which is derived from his Gifford lecture in ۲۰۱۴, Jean-Luc Marion is applying the notion of saturated phenomena, which he put forth in his earlier works, to revelation and particularly to Jesus Christ. Based on his notion of saturated phenomenon and its different types, Marion seeks to show how one can understand revelation, and especially Christ, as a saturated phenomenon and explores the results such an understanding of revelation will bring about. In this article, we aim at understanding the Qur’anic concept of Revelation in light of adopting Marion’s notion of saturated phenomena. So, we begin by elucidating what Marion means by saturated phenomenon and then proceed with showing how he uses this notion for understanding biblical narratives. After showing Marion’s use of his notion, we shall give some Qur’anic instances which can be understood in terms of saturated phenomenon and seek to show how it can shed new light on the Qur’anic concept of divine revelation
