چکیده مقاله:

In this study, the transfer of uranium from soil to wheat was studied. For this purpose, two types of sandy soils were considered while polluted with ۳۰۰ mg/Kg of uranium. The uranium concentration in different parts of the plant (leaf, stem and root) was investigated after ۱ and ۳ months of planting. The results indicated the highest uptake in roots in both interval time, however, the uranium concentration in leaves was increased after ۳ months. The effects of adding fertilizer in uranium absorption by Wheat was also assessed, showing no regular variations. The average values of transfer factor in root, stem and leaf were calculated as ۶.۵۸, ۰.۷۶ and ۰.۲۸, after ۱ month and ۶.۱۳, ۰.۱۵ and ۲.۶۴ after ۳ months, respectively. Generally, Wheat has absorbed more than mg/kg of uranium in roots, but it is not recommended for phytoremediation process since the uranium did not transfer to the aerial part of the plant to an acceptable extent.
