The effect of physical activity on some immune and inflammatory indicators of blood in patients with coronavirus disease

Recently, immunology, especially in the field of sports activity, has been highly regarded by researchers in the field of sports science [۴], which emphasizes the positive effect of physical activity on the body s immune and inflammatory systems [۵]. This coincides with the global crisis called Quid ۱۹, which severely weakens the immune system [۲]. In this situation, it is very important to study the possible influencing factors such as physical activity that can improve the immune system in these patients by affecting the immune and inflammatory systems.The statistical sample of patients referred to Saadat clinic affiliated to Gerash University of Medical Sciences was ۳۹ of them; ۲۰ active (three days of activity per week) and ۱۹ inactive (without regular activity) participated in the present study voluntarily. Demographic variables include; Age, weight, height and body mass index and experimental variables include; White blood cells, activated protein C, interleukin ۶, lactate dehydrogenase, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, blood urea nitrogen, creatine, creatine phosphokinase and blood oxygen levels. The research variables were measured from all subjects at the beginning and also after the end of the treatment period.The results showed significant differences in white blood cell count (F (۱.۳۶) = ۵.۲۱ and P = ۰.۰۲۸), activated protein C (F (۱.۳۶) = ۴.۹ and P = ۰.۰۳۳), blood oxygen level (F (۱.۳۶) = ۴۳.۰۱ and P = ۰.۰۰۰۱) and interleukin ۶ (F (۱.۳۶) = ۲۳.۱۱ and P = ۰.۰۰۰۱). Comparison of means showed that the number of white blood cells, the level of activated oxygen in active people were significantly higher and the level of activated protein C and interleukin ۶ were significantly lower.In Covid ۱۹ disease, virus replication causes inflammatory reactions and immune system involvement [۸]. The results of the present study also showed that physical activity can reduce inflammation in patients with Quid ۱۹ by reducing the level of interleukin ۶ and also by reducing immune factors such as increasing the number of white blood cells and increasing blood oxygen levels reduce the complications of the disease.
