Designing an Optimal Management Model for the Online Education Class of Practical Courses in the Field of Physical Education and Sports Sciences

Due to the Covid epidemic, universities are unable to conduct their activities normally. In such cases, education systems should offer virtual education as an alternative way of maintaining teaching-learning processes. Maintaining this process has not been easy and has created various challenges for education systems. One of the most important challenges has been holding practical physical education courses in the context of e-learning software. In this regard, the present study was conducted with the aim of developing an optimal management model for the virtual classroom of practical courses in the field of physical education and sports sciences.To answer the research question, a qualitative research design and content analysis method were used. Among the various qualitative research methods, the content analysis method was considered appropriate to achieve the research objectives, because Brown et al. (۲۰۱۶) believe that this method is useful for understanding the individual processes of a particular phenomenon. In this study, the inductive approach was used to identify the themes and the six-step analysis process presented by Brown and Clark (۲۰۰۶) was used. The population and statistical sample included all undergraduate students in the field of physical education and sports sciences of Kurdistan University. The sampling method was purposeful and finally ۱۳ of them were interviewed in depth through WhatsApp social network and data were collected. Data collection continued until theoretical saturation was reached.The results indicate that from the perspective of research participants, the most important components of optimal virtual classroom management in ۷۵ open source, ۱۳ sub-themes and ۵ main themes; Content production, delivery tools, learning methods, interactions and communication methods are categorized.It can be said that learning practical lessons in the field of physical education in the virtual context happens properly, which is based on the needs of students. In other words, teachers and professors of physical education and sports sciences should manage their virtual classroom based on components that facilitate their learning process from the students point of view.
