چکیده مقاله:

Bi۲MoO۶(۵۰%)-Bi۲ SiO۵(۵۰%) nanophotocatalyst has been prepared by the sono-solvothermal method to degrade rhodamine B (RhB) in the solar spectrum range. The novel nanophotocatalyst has shown a cauliflower-like morphology. The obtained sample has been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) analyses. As a result, Bi۲MoO۶(۵۰%)-Bi۲SiO۵(۵۰%) could approximately eliminate ۱۰ mg/L RhB at about ۷۲% after ۱۲۰ min irradiation. The appropriate removal of RhB over Bi۲MoO۶(۵۰%)-Bi۲SiO۵(۵۰%) nanophotocatalyst could be attributed to the effective light harvesting, probably proper surface area, more available effective sites, and decreasing the recombination rate of electron-hole pairs. Therefore, the approach of the heterojunction formation is providing a high active nanophotocatalyst that exhibits potential photodegradation performance over RhB for the remediation of water.
