چکیده مقاله:

Present experiment was conducted during ۲۰۱۸ as a combined split-split plot based on randomized complete block design with ۳ replications in Qom and Hamedan, Iran sites to investigate the effect of methanol and glycine betaine spraying on yield, antioxidant enzymes & biomarkers activity and biochemical properties of fodder beet genotypes. The concentration of methanol in ۳ levels (control, ۱۵ an d ۳۰% by volume of methanol) as the first treatment, glycine betaine in ۲ levels (control and ۴ g.L-۱ per methanol) as the second treatment and fodder beet cultivars at ۶ levels as the third factor, were considered. Foliar spraying was performed at three intervals every two weeks. The results showed that the locations had a significant difference in most of the evaluated traits. Glycine betaine foliar application showed significant differences in root yield, sugar, potassium and sodium content, activity of enzymes and biomarkers. Genotypes differed in some of the evaluated traits and Methanol spraying also made a significant effect on root yield, sugar, potassium and sodium content and some antioxidant enzymes activity such as catalase, superoxide dismutase, rubisco and malondialdehyde. Based on the results, methanol and glycine betaine spraying are recommended to improve the quantitative and qualitative properties of fodder beet genotypes under similar conditions.
