Health status and quality of life among Autism children based on CFFS form: a descriptive-analytical study

چکیده مقاله:

Objectives: Autism Spectrum Disorder is a hidden disability which is known by a profound impairment of social communication and growth disorder in children. It becomes chronic as s/he grows, affecting the quality of life and health care. The aim of this study was the investigation of health status and quality of life among Autism children based on CFFS form: a descriptive-analytical study.Methods: This descriptive -analytical study with ۵۰ mothers and/or caregivers of autism spectrum disorder children in ۲۰۱۹. Data were collected by CFFS questionnaire and analyzed by SPSS ۲۰ and Smart pls۳ SEM software, Structure Equation Model statistical method.Results: The most likely problems were lack of programs or services in the community, ۵۸%, lacking services from the society, ۵۶%, lacking community support or attitudes towards the child or lack of children’s transportation, ۵۲%; ۴۸% of problems were related to the children’s stress in the family. In lifestyle and community activities, the greatest challenge was the disability and problems related to managing their routines.Discussion: The mother’s training can be accompanied by continuing education of autism spectrum disorder children at home. The CFFS form is an appropriate one for assessing the quality of life among trained autism children.
