Flood Risk Reduction Planning in Gomishan City of Golestan Province Using Gis Application

In recent decades, the world has witnessed floods that have caused irreparable physical, economic and social damage. Occurrence of floods in early spring of 2019, which affected the cities and villages of Golestan province, especially the villages located in Gomishan city, despite severe destruction of buildings, left few casualties, lack of proper plan to reduce the risk of wider destruction and damage became more serious. In this article, an attempt has been made to develop a plan to reduce the risk of flood disaster in Gomishan city by using Gis software and producing a map. This program consists of four stages and four programs: the first program to reduce flood risk,the second program to reduce flood vulnerability, third program to prepare the community in the event of a flood and The fourth reconstruction program with a post-flood vulnerability reduction approach; At each stage, by examining the maps and writing the SWOT table, we achieved strategies, policies and action plans that are favorable for the region
