دستیابی به لاین های با خصوصیات مطلوب از توده محلی کاهوی شادگانی از طزیق انتخاب انفرادی

Evaluation of local populations (seed landraces) is very important to achieve advanced lines and using them in future breeding programs. Shadegani local lettuce is adjustment to south of Khuzestan climate, therefore this study was performed by individual selection to achieve lines with better traits. 95 plants, which had favorite characteristics, were marked and selected in several times (during growth and harvest stages), in the first year. Big and heavy heads, resistance bolting, plant size, firmness and type of head &leaf lettuce were the criteria to select. In second year, selected lines were evaluated in augmented design with two checks. They were selected based on the phenotypic traits and yield. Correction factor of each block was calculated based on the checks yields of each block and then correction lines yields was determined. The results showed that there are no significantly differences in all of statistical comparisons. It can select 19 and 27 lines, respectively, compared to Ahvazi and Shadegani checks based on the yield. Shadegani was more sensitive to bolt than Ahvazi. Selected lines will used in advanced breeding programs.
