Hematological parameters analysis after oral exposure of diazinon in laboratory animals

In the present investigation, hematotoxicity of diazinon was evaluated following oral administration in laboratory animals. Wistar rats were separated into two groups. One of the groups was selected as the control and the other group was used as experimental group. Animals were orally treated with diazinon for four weeks. Finally, hematological parameters were measured in treated animals. Our results showed that diazinon induced significant changes in the hematological parameters in diazinon -treated rats. This pesticide induced significant alterations in the level of WBC, RBC, Hb, HCT, MCV, MCH, MCHC, and PLT. It can be concluded that oral administration of diazinon can cause hematotoxicity in experimented animals.
