An investigation of Teacher s Deliberative Training on EFL Teacher s Sense of Self-Adequacy and Independence

English language teachers who do not ponder over their teaching normally keep their attention on the available methodsand lose their vision on a fact that their actual common teaching is just one of thousand choices in dealing with teachingmatters and difficulties. Knowing that the perception of a teacher of his own teaching is pivotal, conductinginvestigations in this way could pave the way for help teachers ease from tedious daily teaching, issues in decisionmaking, and feeling inefficient in dealing with different problems in the class and achieve a level of individual andprofessional pleasure. In this way, the purpose of conducting this research was to find an answer for teachers tofacilitate a sense of self-adequacy and preference through committing in a teacher deliberative course and seeing how itaffects the advance of their everyday teaching. In this present study, there were 30 participants of English teachers thatcompleted self-adequacy and preference questionnaires, were divided into two experimental and control groups. 15participants attended a deliberative course during 10 weeks while, the other 15 participated in another course focusingon the revision of the previous methods for the same time. Following the end of the course, the questionnaires wereadministered among the both groups once again. Finally two independent t-tests were administered as the for dataanalysis. Findings of the studies shows that, there was a significant difference between the pre-test and posttest for theexperimental group while for the control group the results of both tests did not differ remarkably.
