چکیده مقاله:
Oral production of stories is common in EFL classrooms in which students usually experience lack of self-efficacy.This study was designed to measure the intermediate level students’ experience of oral production of stories in anEnglish language institute in Iran. The research conducted was an instrumental study, with a student-centred focus.Results of the pre-self-efficacy test had proven students’ lack of self-efficacy. Interventions for development of students’performance were designed to help students engaging in public storytelling. After undertaking public storytellingdesensitisation and assessment, students were given a post-self-efficacy test. Results of the post-test revealed thatstudents experienced raising self-efficacy by increased satisfaction and decreased fear. Implications for future researchand practice are discussed.
