چکیده مقاله:
Nanotechnology, is the study of mater in the nano meter scale. Nanotechnology can be divided in to three categories. Nano particles are, also, in the nano meter scale. Changing some of the properties of nano particles, change their characteristics, such as ratio of surface area to volume. Nano particles are classified into metal and non-metal groups. Leather is a natural tissue that has a special three-dimensional structure and is the most important product in the tannery industry. The main application of nanotechnology in textile and leather industry is simply connected to the nano fiber in large scale production which is resistant to oil and water. There is not any report about using of nano SiO2, and nano silver in the tanning of leather industry. Nowadays, anti-mold materials such as dimethyl tiocarbamat in the tanning step are used. These compounds are toxic and harmful to the environment. Thus, using of nano materials such as nano SiO2, and nano silver are another alternative for safe tannery industry. In this research instrumental techniques such as FT-IR, TEM, and SEM were used for evaluation of quality of the produced leather.
