چکیده مقاله:
The density and speed of sound data of an ionic liquid, 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium ethylsulphate in some polar organic solvents, 1-propanol, ethanol, methanol and acetonitrile weremeasured in dilute region of concentration at temperature ranges T = (288.15 to 318.15) K and atatmospheric pressure. On the basis of density and speed of sound data, the apparent molarvolume Vφ and apparent molar isentropic compressibility κφ were calculated. The results indicatethat the apparent molar volume decreases for the solutions with increasing temperature and thisquantity increases with increasing molalities of solutions. This behaviour is due to the strength ofthe hydrogen bond formed between ionic liquid and solvents at different temperatures also itdepends on the ion- dipole interactions between solvent and solute [1, 2]. Redlich-Meyerequation[3] was used for the fitting of calculated values of apparent molar volume and apparentmolar isentropic compressibility which from this equation, solute-solvent interactions and solutesoluteinteractions parameters were obtained. The obtained parameters show that solute-solventinteractions are as following: 1-propanol > methanol > ethanol > acetonitrile.
