چکیده مقاله:

Recognizing and evaluating the status of research activities is a necessary factor for the country s development planners. Due to the lack of comprehensive information on the research carried out on barberry, the research carried out on this product was collected and organized. One of the most effective methods of studying the general situation of research is the use of scientometric studies, and the most important part of science is the number and quality of scientific articles published in prestigious journals. The number of Persian articles published in barberry over the past three decades has had a significant growth, from 5 articles in the first two decades (1966-2007) to 158 articles in the third decade (2008 -2017), during these three decades, 119 theses on the subject of barberry were also carried out. The Institute for Research in Food Science and Technology has carried out 22 scientific projects in various fields of barberry during the last three decades. In this article, the results of researches of the last three decades in the fields of production, processing and economy of barberry, their analysis and research deficiencies have been identified and appropriate strategies have been presented.
