چکیده مقاله:
Introduction: Chronic hepatitis is a common disease in the community which is created mainly through viral agents or immune factors. Differential diagnosis of hepatitis in the treatment of this disease is very important. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of histopathologic criteria for distinguishing between these two cases in liver biopsy samples . Material and methods: In a cross-sectional study, 45 patients with autoimmune hepatitis, 34 patients with hepatitis B and 33 patients with hepatitis C wereinvestigated for presence of histopathological criteria. The data were analyzed using Chi-square test and diagnostic tests. Findings and Results: Among the 12 indicators, 5 indexes that interference hepatitis including lymphoid follicle in port area, emperipolesis, interface hepatitis, hepatic rosette and ground glass hepatocyte have the ability to differentiate types of hepatitis . In terms of diagnostic analysis, the overall accuracy of these 5 parameters to determine the type of hepatitis was 75.9%. The predictive percent of above parameters for autoimmune hepatitis is 80%, for hepatitis B is 76.5% and for hepatitis C is 69.7%, respectively. Conclusion:Histopathological parameters can differentiate types of hepatitis in patients at an acceptable level which among them, interface hepatitis is used to differentiate between autoimmune hepatitis and hepatitis B, lymphoid follicle in port area is used to differentiate between hepatitis C and the other two types, emperipolesis to differentiate AIH from the other two types, hepatic rosette to differentiate AIH from the other two types and ground glass hepatocyte to differentiate hepatitis B from the other two types.
