The situation of Sepak Takraw in Iran: SWOT model

Background: The aim of this study was investigating Sepak Takraw in Iran based on the SWOT model in 2016. Materials and Methods: The present study was conducted in the shape of descriptive-analytical and survey on the study population consisted of officials, experts, coaches, referees and sports Sepak Takraw’s athletes. To develop the strategic plan were used from the questionnaires, internal and external evaluation matrix, SWOT matrix and other statistical tests. The reliability of questionnaires was obtained using by Cronbach s alpha coefficient higher than 0.8. Results and Discussions: Due to internal and external evaluation matrix, status of Iran’s Sepak Takraw in the region WO, was obtained conservatively. Conclusion: Therefore, strategies of WO, will be more efficient to develop quality and quantity of Sepak Takraw
