Background: This study examines the relationship between social identity and job satisfaction of soccer coaches in Tehran. Materials and Methods: The research method is descriptive and correlational. The statistical population were soccer coaches in Tehran. Given the population size and using Morgan table, 250 of soccer coaches in Tehran people were selected as sample and sampling was conducted by available random sampling method. In the present study, have been used two questionnaires of social identity (Saffarinia and Roshan, 2011) and job satisfaction of Visovisky Chrome (1994). One sample t test, Pearson correlation coefficient and independent t test was used to analyze the data Results: The results showed that, there is no difference between between the social identity and job satisfaction of male and female coaches in Tehran. There is no significant relationship between individual identity and job satisfaction of male and female athletes in Tehran (p = 0.285), but there was significant relationship between collective identity and job satisfaction of soccer coaches in Tehran (p = 0.008). As well as collective identity, will be explained 29% of the changes in job satisfaction of soccer coaches in Tehran. Collective identity has a significant effect on job satisfaction of soccer coaches in Tehran (p = 0.008). Conclusion: Collective identity, is not a suitable predictor to job satisfaction of soccer coaches in Tehran.
