The relationship between social capital and quality of life in Tehran s physical education women teachers

چکیده مقاله:
Background: The aim of this study is, examining the relationship between social capital and Tehran’s physical education women teachers. Materials and Methods: The research method is correlation and statistical population is Tehran’s physical education women teachers (N=800). Sample size according to Morgan formulas is equal to 260 persons that were selected by simple random sampling. Questionnaire of quality of life’s short form scale of world health organization is used to collect data, and questionnaire (SCAT) of Krishna and Eshrader (1999) is used for social capital. Results: Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation and regression coefficient. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between aspect of structural (r = -0.610, p = 0.001), cognitive (r = -0.164, p = 0.001), correlation (r = -0.201, p = 0.001), with qualityof life among Tehran’s female teachers. Also there is a significant relationship among components of physical health aspect (physical) (r = -0.170, p = 0.001), psychological aspect (r = -0.071, p = 0.001), social relationship aspect (r = -0.194, p = 0.001), living environment aspect (r = -0.165, p = 0.001), with social capital. Conclusion: This research suggests that participation of employees in decision making of organization can lead to increased social capital.
