Invention of a new optimization algorithm based on Imperialist Competitive Algorithm (ICA)

In this paper, a new algorithm is proposed for optimization, inspired not by a natural phenomenon, but from a socio-human phenomenon. Specifically, this algorithm usesthe colonial process as a stage in the socio-political development of mankind, and by mathematical modeling of this historical phenomenon, it serves as the source ofinspiration for a powerful algorithm in the field of optimization. In a short time after introducing this algorithm, it has been used to solve many problems in the field ofoptimization. Optimal layout design for industrial units, intelligent telecommunication antennas, intelligent bidirectional systems, and the design of an optimal controllerfor chemical industrial systems are a few of the widespread applications of this algorithm in solving optimization problems.
