چکیده مقاله:

The solar cell tracking system, in this paper, is controlled using the combination of multi input-output feedback linearization theory and linear quadratic regulators theory. Such tracking systems are responsible to always align the solar cells toward the sun light and therefore to enhance the energy received from the sun. For this purpose, the controller should be designed along both azimuth and elevation directions. Along the azimuth, for the solar cell to be facing east in the morning and to move toward west simultaneously as the sun moves until the sunset. In terms of elevation, the angle of the solar cell should vary according to the changes of the sun elevation during different seasons. Considering the slow and simple movement of the sun during the different seasons of the year, the assumption for designing of the controller in this direction is to be simple and therefore , in this paper, the controller is designed only along the azimuth direction. Further, the feedback linearization theory is used due to the nonlinear nature of the dynamics of this system. In every direction of the system there are two inputs of voltages and two outputs of angle and current, and thus, the non-linear controller shall be designed in the form of multi inputs –multi outputs. Furthermore, the optimization of the controller is achieved using the optimal control theory.
